Reflecting Back at Them (or The Turkey Vulture)
I lift my chin toward the sky
Sun reflecting off my skin
Of everything I have
I never have enough
The hawk circles it's nest
The crystal armor of the knight shines
As the sword rises above the stone
Only to crash down
Shattered on the rocks, the shard of sword are gathered and forged
To make the crown upon yon head
In a little hole
The waif rests his head
A little bread to feed the muskrat
Milk for the cat
And the dog, his bone
Millennials run, as thot were taught
A pornographic negative snide
Pinned to the darkroom wall
All red light and chemical
A man in the next room says Jesus is coming.
I love it
